Alfred Onyango Deya is an Associate in the law firm’s Litigation Department. He has been involved in commercial litigation where he has prosecuted and defended claims on behalf of clients in various courts and tribunals, undertaken debt recovery with respect to secured and unsecured debts for various financial institutions, private companies, businesses and individuals.
He also handles litigation in various areas including Family, Insurance, Intellectual Property and Employment Law.
He successfully defended a leading parastatal in the face of a Constitutional Petition to access information under Article 35 of the Constitution.
Mr. Deya handles Child Custody and Maintenance cases, Succession/Inheritance and Criminal Defence.
He enjoys spending his spare time watching soccer, his a Chelsea fan “Seeing them lift the Capital One Cup, priceless feeling,” as well as watching series, Suits ( Two Men One Degree) being among his favourite.
Mr. Deya holds an LLB degree from Moi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court on 21st January 2014.
