Peter Wangaki Wena is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Litigation department. Mr Wena handles all aspects of Commercial Litigation practice, including Intellectual Property Litigation and Arbitration.
Mr. Wena has been working on election petitions since 1997. He represented Hon. Mary Wambui at the Supreme Court after the most recent election. He has handled the Mau Mau case with over 21,000 claimants. His commercial litigation practice has included the representation of China Road/Bridge v DNK Construction Liasons (K) Ltd.
Most recently, Mr. Wena is representing Muchanga Investments (Karen land matter) which is ongoing. He also represented Enderman Properties v Kenya Railways, a matter that was worth 2-3 billion shillings. He has been working on Mbiyu Koinange case since 2010; it was filed back in 1981. The case is worth billions.
He loves being a lawyer because two days are never the same. As well as clients requirements have become diverse and demanding. Soon lawyers will be working around the clock to give service to clients around the world in different time zones.
When time allows, he enjoys playing golf and he enjoys watching culinary programmes, Hell’s Kitchen being among his favourite. He also enjoys travelling, both locally and internationally which satisfies his love to see new places, meet new people, and experience how people of other cultures live.
Mr. Wena holds a Bachelor of laws Degree from the University of Hill (UK) LLB 1993 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He was admitted to the Roll of Advocates on 7th March 1996. He is also a Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public.
