Cecil Miller acts for KQ hostess in case where policeman claims he was conned of Sh0.2m

A Kibera court yesterday heard how a Kenya Airways hostess stole sh 200,000 from a police officer.

Constable Lawrence Nyingi Gikoyo attached to buruburu police division told resident magistrate Mary Mwai that the money was meant to purchase a nissan matatu for him from Dubai.

He was testifying in the case which Susan Wambui an air hostess and Jean Wanjuki a business woman have denied stealing money which had been entrusted to them by the officer.

They are said to have committed the offence on July 21, 1997 in Nairobi.

The accused are represented by Cecil Miller while the prosecution was led by Inspector Stephen Wambua. Gikoyo said he was told to wait for a month to get the vehicle but it was never delivered. After one year he became suspicious and reported the matter to the police.
