Konzolo firm ordered out of Karen 134 acres

THE High Court yesterday ordered the police to remove people who have encroached on a disputed Sh8 billion parcel of land in Karen.

Justice Lucy Nyambura sitting in Nairobi directed the Lang’ata police boss to supervise the removal of the encroachers.
This was after Da Gama Rose, whose company Muchanga Investment is said to own the land, asked the court for the removal.
Through lawyer Cecil Miller, Muchanga Investment said people have irregularly entered the land and are ready to excavate and demarcate the 134-acre parcel.

Miller said the people have begun developing the land despite a September 3 court order restraining activity on the land by Habenga Holdings, Jina Enterprises Ltd and Telesource.Com, which is associated with former NSSF managing trustee Jos Konzolo. The lawyer said the director of survey and the chief land registrar have stated in an affidavit that the land is registered under the name Telesource Limited.
